Dear EE Canada,
I just want to thank each of you for making
the past week an awesome experience for me in this family
of God. My prayer is that we can all catch that fire
that is burning in our teacher Bill and spread it to
our hometown, churches and all those around us, and
even beyond. Let's all pray for a passion to consume
us, that will tear down all the walls of shyness, fear
of rejection, introvertness or any other lame excuses,
and compel us to get out of our comfort zone, to go
and make disciples of all nations.
I
thank my trainers as well, for their patience, passion
and exemplary training. OJT with them has been exciting
and inspiring. The various illustrations will be very
helpful.
I'd like to thank the host church for allowing us to
use their premises. To the numerous helpers in the kitchen,
cooking and cleaning, I am grateful and thankful for
their warm welcome, hospitality, the abundant food all
day to make sure we do not starve but add on weight,
the banquet every night and the display of Jesus' love
in action. This past week has indeed been a very meaningful
one and one of the most memorable time I ever spent
away from home. It has also revealed to me how lazy
I am when it comes to witnessing! I am very encouraged
by those young people who are so enthusiastic and just
next door!
I must roll up my sleeves, readjust my focus to a sharper
one, and get going. Indeed, this has been my prayer
ever since. I had the chance to share the Gospel with
a co-worker this morning with a renewed confidence.
I pray for God's bountiful blessings upon each one of
you and your loved ones, and let the work begin!
Love and prayers,
Doris
Dear EE,
Last week I was in Winnipeg, at the Evangelism Explosion
course. I learned a lot about evangelism and "evangelicals".
If you were on a life raft and all around you people
were drowning, what would you do? Do you believe that
without Christ people are going to hell? What are you
doing about it? Do you have every excuse in the book?
Or are you willing and eager but DON'T KNOW HOW to help
them?
If your answer is that you don't know how, then please,
let me point you to EE! I saw 55 people make decisions
for Christ in 3 days. It really has changed my life!

Hello EE Canada,
Knowing how you love to hear how EE groups are doing,
I am glad to share with you the
progress of Worldwide Church of God Winnipeg's current
EE semester. We are at the end of
week 7. Five new trainees are involved with 5 trainers.
We meet each Tuesday evening to go through the lessons.
Our home visits take place the same evening. The people
we see are among those who have been helped by our church's
Hands of
Hope furniture ministry. Each year we help 700-800 families
in need with free furniture. A number of these are open
to hear the gospel.
As of the end of week 7, these are the results: |
20 call back visits are
arranged
We handle the call backs with in-home bible studies
on Thursday nights or, at times, another
personal home visit.
We are very encouraged to keep on with EE. All new trainees
are experiencing the joy of leading people to Christ.
In Christ,
Alan |
