What's
Kid's EE?
Kids' EE is a visual, interactive approach that teaches
fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students the clear Gospel message and equips them to share it
with others. The approach to Kids' EE was developed by children's ministry leaders who worked
with children to find out what the
children responded to. Kids' EE provides exciting teaching
tools that make learning the
Gospel presentation fun and interactive.
Purpose
To glorify God by equipping adults worldwide to teach
children the Gospel; to clarify it for them, bring them
to saving faith in Jesus Christ, and assist them to
become witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Beliefs
Kids' Evangelism Explosion is based on the belief that
kids can share the Gospel and it is
the responsibility of parents and pastors of the church
to teach them how to do so. We
believe the Great Commission is for everyone, not just
adults or even youth. Kids' EE lays a
foundation for spiritual growth in children and enables
youngsters to respond with
excitement and enthusiasm to Jesus' command to all of
us to be His witnesses. It develops
a world-view that is framed by the recognition that
without faith in Jesus we are all lost in
our sins. |

Course Elements
Gospel
Presentation:
The Kids' EE Gospel Presentation includes a basic outline,
sub-points, scripture verses,
illustrations and transitional sentences.
On-the-Job Training (OJT):
Providing the children with practice in sharing the
Gospel is referred to as "On-the-Job
Training." The goal is to encourage children to
make sharing the Gospel with others a way
of life. it is recommended that teams consist of two
adults and two or three children. OJT
with children must be safe, structured, supervised.
It must also provide the children with
successful experiences.
Prayer
Partners:
Developing habits of praying for the lost and those
with whom they want to share the
Gospel is an integral part of the Kids' EE training
each week. In addition, children are
encouraged to pray with their parents. This provides
a powerful support for the ministry.
Commitment:
A model ministry will have team leaders and parents
willing to nurture children in their
commitment to attend Kids' EE. Parents become an extension
of the teacher and the team
leaders, giving extra encouragement and support in learning
the Gospel presentation.
Homework:
Homework at this age is simply practice in what has
been taught in class. Class time is used
to provide necessary practice and repetition. Children
are encouraged to share each week
what they have learned during their Kids' EE session.
Lecture:
Kids are involved in physical activities, such as marching
cadences and the practice of the
hand motions, which are learned along with the Gospel
presentation. Learning is hands-on
and key concepts are reinforced through the crafts and
the skits.
